Mercy Holistic Ministry and St. Matthew Lutheran Church today have provided mobile bicycle repair services to 22 homeless people in downtown Sacramento while donating 15 bicycles for those in need. A mobile hot shower, food, clothing and toiletries were also given to somewhat 27 homeless people at the same spot at the 1236 C St in Sacramento.
For Berhanu Kumalo and Miheret Bune, Founders of Mercy Holistic Ministry, serving the unhoused community in Sacramento and surrounding cities is a joy and fulfillment of their vision to serve the unprivileged while sharing the good news of the gospel and Christ’s love.
Matt Molinari, Student Ministry and Outreach Coordinator at St. Matthew Lutheran Church said, “our group from St. matthew Church today was grateful for having to come here
to serve this community. It is my hope that we do this more often to share life, inspire hope for those in need.”
